Choose the Perfect Fit

Every child is different. Our private, one-on-one swim lessons meet your keiki where they are β€” and gently challenge them to grow stronger, safer, and more confident in the water.

  • A personalized, one-on-one swim lesson created just for your kiddo. We come to your pool, resort, or a calm nearby beach and tailor each session to your child’s age, energy level, and comfort in the water.

Whether they’re just getting started or building confidence and technique, lessons focus on water safety, floating, breath control, and strong foundational skills, all guided by a patient instructor with swim team experience and a love for joyful, empowering teaching.

Sessions run 30–45 minutes, depending on stamina and how many β€œjust one more jump!” moments sneak in.

Many visiting families choose to book lessons over multiple days for the best progress.

  • More than one kiddo? Book back-to-back private lessons with the same trusted instructor. Each child receives their own personalized, one-on-one session. No shared time, no divided attention.

This option is seamless for parents and perfect for siblings who want their own moment to splash, learn, and shine.

  • Many families begin with a private swim lesson or a 3-lesson series to build comfort, confidence, and momentum. Once your child is swimming happily and independently, we can gently introduce more advanced skills β€” including snorkel readiness β€” when it feels right.

With our swim team background and calm, encouraging approach, we make learning to swim feel safe, supportive, and even a little magical.

Still unsure? Reach out β€” we’re happy to help you choose the best fit for your child.

Why Families Choose to Swim With Hana Hou Swim Co

A boy mid-air jumping off a rocky shoreline into the ocean under a partly cloudy sky.

We believe the most important thing a child can learn in the water is to love it.

From there, everything else follows.

Our private, one on one lessons are designed to help kids feel comfortable, curious, and confident in the water first, then build the skills that keep them safe. We focus on real world swimming and ocean safety so if a child slips in, loses balance, or feels unsure, they know how to orient themselves, breathe, and move toward safety, even when the water feels big.

As confidence grows, we intentionally layer in strong fundamentals and proper technique, refining strokes, body position, and efficiency without ever rushing the process.

Every lesson is tailored to the child in front of us. No rigid programs. No pressure. Just thoughtful, intentional instruction that helps kids feel capable, safe, and excited to be in the water.

Because when kids love the water, they respect it. And that respect is what keeps them safe for life.
